Cleanea s'engage au respect de l'environnement et se positionne comme une entreprise soucieuse de l'écologie. Life cycle analysis Today, cleanliness issues must be part of a logic of reducing environmental impact, reducing plastic waste and the carbon footprint. The constraints of the cleaning sector are strong, under budgetary pressure from clients, with committed staff but subject to significant turnover, and ever-increasing standards and rules. Cleanea is committed to offering an innovative alternative to chemical products, thus positioning the company at the heart of Sustainable Development issues. The founders of Cleanea understood that ecology and technology can converge harmoniously. Cleanea's vision is based on a simple but powerful promise: the creation of a chemistry designed as close as possible to its use, guaranteeing durability and optimal efficiency. Cleanea is a visionary player. The company stands out by demonstrating that it is possible to combine operational efficiency, compliance with standards, and commitment to the environment, thus anchoring its contribution to the global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) movement. Using Cleanea, how can we measure positive impacts on sustainable development? Our customers' awareness of the benefits of using Cleanea in terms of Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) is undeniable. However, the question often persists: How to promote these benefits, both internally and externally? In order to answer this crucial question, we collaborated with the specialized firm WEAVE Air to conduct a life cycle analysis of our products. This comparative study evaluated our products against four alternatives intended for everyday cleaning use, including sanitary cleaners, multi-purpose detergents with two different formulations, and window products. The results of this analysis made it possible to precisely quantify the benefits generated by the use of the Cleanea solution and today allow all types of companies to be able to make a complete ecological assessment of their cleanliness services, particularly in terms of reduction of plastic waste, carbon footprint, and water savings. By replacing traditional chemistry with Cleanea products, with a replacement rate reaching 80% for a tertiary site, we are able to estimate the gains in terms of Sustainable Development (SD) on a specific site. This approach provides a transparent and tangible method to inform our end customers. Furthermore, in light of the obligation, from 2024, to draft a CSRD (Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure) report on CSR initiatives, this approach will make it possible to enrich this report with concrete and significant figures, speaking to the public. all stakeholders. Cleanea is thus a solution that is not only beneficial for the environment, but also an informed choice for responsible business management. On the road to a more virtuous use of chemistry! Over the past 15 years, the detergent industry has invested heavily in researching more environmentally friendly formulations for its products. The emergence of labels such as the ecolabel in 1992, Swan in 1992, and Ecocert in 1991 facilitated the promotion of these products to customers, demonstrating the commitment to sustainable development. In this approach, products have gradually become more concentrated, offering increased efficiency while minimizing their environmental impact. It is a step which has borne fruit but these labels based on audits of the production tool cannot adapt to new trends such as “In Situ” production. At the same time, Europe responded to these concerns by establishing the Biocide Directive, which made it possible to establish an inventory of biocidal formulations, eliminate the most harmful ones, and restrict the possibilities for using potentially harmful products. This regulatory evolution has encouraged the emergence of new technologies, thus offering alternative solutions including Cleanea. The Biocide Directive, in particular, aims to improve biocidal products in the European Union, ensuring a high level of protection of human health and the environment. By validating active ingredients and finished products, this directive regulates the sale of biocides by distinguishing 23 TP (Product Type) or specific uses. In particular, the active ingredient used by Cleanea "Active Chlorine generated from sodium chloride by electrolysis". Our products have a complete bacteriological profile that can be used even in operating theaters. We have been standardized since 2018, both at French (ANSES) and European (ECHA) level for the following TPs: TP1 Human hygiene, TP2 Surfaces, TP3 veterinary, TP4 food contact and TP5 drinking water Note that this active ingredient has nothing to do with that of ozone. Today, Cleanea solutions do not mention any pictograms, nor do they require the wearing of glasses, gloves or masks. Water management: a major issue for the next decade The issue of water quality is increasingly becoming a major priority in the face of the challenges of climate change. The preservation of this vital resource, more responsible use, and the prevention of all forms of pollution are essential to make the water cycle more virtuous, both on an individual and professional scale. In the professional environment, a majority of pollution results from chemicals used during building cleaning operations. In accordance with the principle stated by Lavoisier, "Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed", everything that is used sooner or later ends up in the effluent, thus highlighting the need for an approach watchful. With this in mind, we undertook to evaluate the environmental impact of Cleanea products by requesting the services of the Water, Environment and Urban Systems Laboratory (LEESU) of the City of Paris. The assessment was based on parameters such as Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and 5-day Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD5). The results obtained are not only significant but also very conclusive. Cleanea solutions stand out by displaying a significant impact on the COD of a building's emissions, and the BOD5 value of the solutions approaches zero, at only 0.5 mgO2/l. This value is equivalent to that of Evian water, thus demonstrating the remarkable effectiveness of Cleanea products in preserving water quality. These encouraging results underline Cleanea's commitment to environmentally friendly cleaning solutions, thus contributing to the promotion of sustainable management of water resources. Air quality is a top priority for businesses Preserving air quality represents an essential challenge for all workers, not only those in direct contact with products, but also for employees of customer companies. With advances in improving the quality of buildings and saving energy, air is replaced less frequently in order to conserve heat, sometimes circulating up to seven times less. This highlights the crucial importance of maintaining optimal air quality and controlling any form of contamination. The two main sources of pollution identified are solvent-based glues used in the manufacture of furniture and chemicals used daily during cleaning operations. These elements can generate Volatile Organ Compounds (VOCs) such as alkanes and aldehydes. During tests aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of Cleanea solutions on the presence of VOCs, the results were clearly positive. Neither solution was detected emitting VOCs. The included graph illustrates the reaction of a VOC probe in the presence of our solutions, showing a total lack of reaction, unlike that observed in the presence of commercial products. Cleanea thus stands out as an unrivaled solution for maintaining air quality, offering a reliable and efficient alternative to the challenges posed by VOC emissions from commonly used chemicals. Opting for Cleanea means opting for a healthier and safer working environment for everyone. • Propreté au sein des collectivités | Cleanea

Le nettoyage au sein des collectivités requiert une attention particulière pour assurer un cadre propre dans les lieux publics. Cleanliness in communities Cleaning in community businesses is an essential task to ensure a clean and hygienic environment in various public places or ERPs such as nurseries, schools, colleges, high schools, town halls, swimming pools, etc. Specificities Before you begin cleaning, planning is essential. This involves determining tasks to be performed, cleaning schedules, resources needed (staff, equipment, cleaning supplies), and prioritizing areas to clean. PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION Cleaning staff gather necessary equipment and products, such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, rags, window cleaners, disinfectants (Red product from Cleanea) and detergents (Blue product from Cleanea). PREPARATION General cleaning tasks include sweeping, dusting, vacuuming floors, cleaning horizontal and vertical surfaces, emptying trash cans, etc. This step aims to remove common dirt and dust. GENERAL CLEANING Particularly important in collective spaces, the disinfection process involves the use of appropriate chemicals to kill germs, bacteria and viruses. Frequently touched areas, such as door handles, light switches and work surfaces, are targeted first. DISINFECTION Some communities require specific cleanings depending on their needs. For example, schools should focus on cleaning classrooms and play areas because regular disinfection of surfaces is essential to prevent the spread of disease and maintain a safe environment. SPECIALIZED CLEANING Floors are cleaned according to their type (tiles, carpet, linoleum, etc.). This may include sweeping, mopping, spraying with appropriate cleaning products and buffing. FLOOR MAINTENANCE In communities, exterior cleaning may include cleaning the surroundings of buildings, collecting trash in exterior spaces, snow removal in winter, etc. EXTERIOR CLEANING Once cleaning tasks have been completed, it is important to conduct quality control to ensure that all areas have been properly cleaned and disinfected according to established standards. QUALITY CONTROL Effective communication between cleaning staff and community officials is essential. Issues or specific needs should be reported and addressed promptly. COMMUNICATION Cleaning staff members should receive ongoing training on best cleaning practices, proper use of chemicals and equipment, and safety protocols. CONTINUING TRAINING Operating mode It is important to note that the details of the cleaning process may vary depending on the type of community, its size, its specific requirements and local health and safety regulations. Cleaners must comply with the safety and hygiene standards in force in their field. This may include wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks and appropriate uniforms. Important metrics to track are: Cleaning frequency, product consumption, number of m2 cleaned per productive hour, response time to occupant requests, satisfaction rate and number of complaints. For pre-impregnation, it is accepted that an impregnation rate of 100% (100 ml per 100 g strip), allows the right residual humidity to clean 20 to 40 m² (same for cloths). Some metrics

  • Propreté dans l'hôtellerie | Cleanea

Le nettoyage dans les métiers de l'hôtellerie semble primordial afin de satisfaire une clientèle très attentive à l'hygiène. Cleanliness in the hotel industry Specificities The hotel industry is a very specific profession which is aimed at a demanding clientele, attentive to hygiene and cleanliness, so cleaning is an integral part of the activity and is most often carried out by internal teams. Housekeepers are equipped with a housekeeping cart that contains a vacuum cleaner, brooms, microfiber cloths and chemicals. These tools allow you to effectively clean different surfaces in rooms, from floors to windows to furniture. Regarding chemistry, the cleaning products used in the hotel industry are carefully selected to ensure both optimal cleanliness and compliance with safety and hygiene standards. The cramped conditions of the bathrooms and certain rooms require the use of fume-free products that respect the health of users and customers. These health issues and the necessary contribution to sustainable development have led many hotels to equip themselves with a Cleanea machine. The Red disinfectant product, the Blue cleaning product and a complementary descaling gel meet all needs. The Bleu product for floors, surfaces, sanitary facilities and exterior windows is specially formulated to eliminate common dirt while preserving the durability of the materials. The Rouge product for the bathroom, sanitary facilities and taps guarantees impeccable hygiene and a level of shine rarely achieved. The hotel room cleaning process generally follows a well-defined protocol to ensure maximum consistency and efficiency. First of all, the maid ventilates the room by opening the windows to freshen the air. Next, bed linen, towels and other textiles are removed and replaced with clean items. The cleaning itself begins with the thorough dusting of all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, pictures and decorative items. Next, the floors are swept or vacuumed to remove debris, followed by a thorough washing with products suitable for the type of covering. Sanitary facilities, such as toilets, sinks and showers, are cleaned with the Rouge product to guarantee optimal hygiene. The use of several cloths is necessary to avoid cross-contamination, the pink color being dedicated to toilets. The windows are carefully cleaned with Bleu to provide stunning views through the windows, while the mirrors are wiped down after a spray of Rouge for an impeccable shine. Finally, the room is carefully tidied and prepared to welcome the next guests, ensuring that all amenities such as television, lamps and other appliances are working properly. As for equipment, you can expect the housekeepers to use a professional vacuum cleaner, 2 Blue and Red sprays, descaling gel, impregnated or non-impregnated microfiber headbands, microfiber cloths for dusting, buckets washing machines, trolleys for transporting bed linen and towels, etc. Operating mode Some metrics It is important to note that room cleaning productivity can vary depending on several factors such as the size of the rooms, the level of complexity of cleaning required, the number of cleaning team members and their experience, as well as the specific standards of each hotel. For 2-star hotels, where rooms are generally simpler and smaller, a maid may indeed be able to clean around 15 to 18 rooms per day. However, for palaces, which often offer a level of luxury and many amenities, the cleaning process can be more complex and require more time. In these high-end establishments, a maid may clean approximately 8 to 10 rooms per day. These figures are general estimates and may vary depending on the factors mentioned above. Although not a direct productivity measure, guest satisfaction is essential to the hospitality industry. Positive guest reviews about the cleanliness and condition of rooms can be an indirect indicator of the effectiveness of the cleaning process.

  • Propreté dans la santé | Cleanea

Le nettoyage dans les métiers de la santé est d'une grande importance pour garantir la sécurité des individus. Cleanliness in health Specificities Nosocomial diseases are aggravating factors for patients in hospital; the appearance of an infection thus increases the risk of death by three. To address this issue, cleaning in hospitals and clinics is of paramount importance to maintain a clean and hygienic environment, thus guaranteeing the safety of patients, medical staff and visitors. Cleaning protocols in healthcare professions are developed strictly, regularly reviewed and updated to align with best practices in hygiene and infection prevention. The recommended methods are to use impregnated microfibers, to never use the same microfibers from one room to another (what we call single use), and to wash and disinfect the microfibers in the machine. Basic rule: you do not disinfect a dirty surface; which requires, in the event of dirt, two actions, one to remove the dirt, a second to disinfect. Using one or two products (detergent and/or disinfectant) has no impact on the cleaning rate. Thanks to our Cleanea machines, these 2 products will be manufactured on site. The Red product to disinfect all surfaces such as sanitary facilities, taps, door handles and the Blue product to clean and degrease floors, windows and furniture. We can estimate the cleaning of a room at 1 headband and 3 cloths. To obtain these ratios, you must use all 8 sides of the cloths to use as little as possible and thus avoid waste (single-use cleaning). Thus, the support (paper, microfiber) is changed each time a new surface is cleaned. Operating mode Cleaning protocols in the healthcare sector aim to eliminate germs, prevent the spread of infections and ensure optimal sanitary conditions. Here are some key points related to cleaning in healthcare professions: Surfaces in healthcare settings, such as floors, walls, counters, examination tables and medical equipment, should be cleaned regularly. This involves the use of appropriate cleaning products, such as disinfectants (Red product) and specific detergents, as well as proper cleaning techniques to remove contaminants. CLEANING SURFACES Reusable medical instruments must be properly disinfected after each use to prevent the transmission of infections from one patient to another. Specific cleaning and disinfection procedures are put in place for each type of equipment, taking into account the manufacturer's recommendations and current regulations. DISINFECTION OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT Some specific areas in healthcare facilities require special attention in terms of cleaning. These may include operating rooms, intensive care units, isolation rooms, or areas containing patients with contagious infections. Special protocols are in place for cleaning and disinfection of these sensitive areas, paying particular attention to the risks of cross-infection. CLEANING SENSITIVE AREAS Healthcare facilities must adhere to strict protocols for biomedical waste management. This includes the proper collection, sorting, packaging and disposal of waste such as used syringes, soiled dressings, medical chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials. BIOMEDICAL WASTE MANAGEMENT It is essential to train cleaning staff in healthcare facility-specific cleaning protocols and techniques. This includes learning proper cleaning practices, proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and awareness of the risks associated with exposure to pathogens. STAFF TRAINING The surfaces to be cleaned are divided into zones, according to the infectious risk incurred by the patient and each with its protocol: Zone 1: Minimal risks (halls, offices, retirement homes, technical and administrative services, etc.) Zone 2: Medium risks (circulations, elevators, stairs, waiting rooms, maternity, rehabilitation rooms, psychiatry, pharmacy, laundry, toilets, etc.) Zone 3: Severe risks (intensive care, emergencies, delivery room, nursery, surgery, pediatrics, medicine, radiology, laboratories, autopsy room, etc.) Zone 4: Very high risks (operating theater, transplant department, neonatology, burn department, etc.) Per room, you need 400 g of microfiber, which is equivalent to 1 headband of 200 g and 3 cloths of 80 g. For example, for a clinic with 100 beds, there will be more than 50 kg of microfiber to clean and impregnate each day. Which leads to an 8 kg machine, 80% filled, running 9 hours a day. Some establishments prefer to have two 6 kg machines to overcome technical problems. For pre-impregnation, it is accepted that an impregnation rate of 100% (100 ml per 100 g strip), allows the right residual humidity to clean 20 to 40 m² (same for cloths). Some metrics
